Mercurio Design Lab (MDL) is a design studio spun off as a fully fledged company from AMA Group in 2007, particularly dedicated to work on high end lifestyle and commercial projects. The starting of MDL coalesced like a fulfillment of a necessity out of fifteen years of work and experience in the Asian market as the operational hub of AMA Group, one of the largest architectural firms in Italy. In its forty years of operation, AMA Group has collected an impressive portfolio of projects throughout the world, making itself a beacon of Italian design, building millions of square meters and mission critical projects, even in the most remote locations from home. In expanding its focus to other exciting areas of the design industry, the Group needed a dedicated team that like a task force would take on special design centric projects. For this purpose, the creation of MDL as a focused studio perfectly fits the idea of serving the high end design work industry, turning a great opportunity into a very exciting and meaningful endeavor.
