The intention in creating Mercurio Design Lab (MDL) was a powerful drive that brought us beyond the purely entrepreneurial spirit or the need of setting out on a professional path. MDL has since its inception been a place for ideas and thoughts, a place where creativity and artistic sense would merge with a highly generative energy of the design process of architecturally meaningful works. Meaningful particularly in its relationship with the social context and benefits that it brings to the users and the bystanders alike.

Besides maintaining the balance between aesthetic needs, functional necessities and market forces, art has to be respected and exercised with constant dedication and attention. It is the passion for Architecture and the many intriguing aspects of design, which drive the intense activity that churns out our works.
